Solutions Architect / Senior Solutions Architect - Bangalore

POSITION SUMMARY:

Solutions Architect (SA) / Senior Solutions Architect (SSA) report directly to the ASIA Regional Presales Manager and India Country Manager. They are directly responsible for providing senior pre-sales support for major/strategic and in-direct sales opportunities in India primarily as well as other parts of ASIA, delivering product presentations for prospects, customers, seminars, marketing opportunities, and conducting solution demos, workshops and complex technical solutions (proof of concepts). They are also responsible for assisting in closure of sales opportunities by working with assigned sales personnel or partner to develop and execute an account plan that meets both the requirements outline by prospective customer and sales objectives of the US MNC company. This includes closing the opportunity in a timely manner and increasing the size of existing implementations through active account management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pre-sales Support
· Provide strategic and senior level product presentations and demonstrations. · Deliver advanced or complex proof of concept evaluations/prototypes. · Develop, and assist in the development of, needs analysis and RFP/RFI responses. · Provide senior level account follow-up for technical issues during and after a sales cycle. · Develop comprehensive technical account plans in conjunction with sales representatives that include: technical qualification of prospects, proposed demonstration criteria, trial/prototype plans and closure planning. · General technical support to partners · Develop and execute account expansion plans, through active account management.
Business Development/Marketing Support
· Deliver local technical account update programs for strategic/major accounts. · Support local trade show/seminar activity. · Support the strategic business development partners
Personnel Management
· Assist other area technical personnel in account planning and closure activities.
Management Reporting and Administration
· Provide Regional Sales or Presales Management with required periodic activity reporting. · Provide any other reporting defined by sales or technical management.
Domain Skills
· Minimum 5 years' experience in presales of enterprise software. · Comfortable and confident in speaking in a group · Good presentation and demo skills · Willing to travel (both within India, and in ASIA) · Self insufficient · Professional and matured · Customer-facing skills · Analytical & problem solving skills
Technical/Industry Skills
Primary Skills · Business Intelligence / OLAP · ETL / Data Warehousing / Star Schema · Scorecarding (BSC etc) / Dashboard · RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server etc) · Prior skills in Business Objects / Hyperion / SAS is an advantage
Secondary Skills · Windows & UNIX OS · Security (LDAP) · Web Serivces (Java, HTML, SOAP, SOA, XML, WSDL etc) · Knowledge of Corporate Performance Management · Basic finance knowledge is an advantage
