Regional Sales Manager - ATP

Location: New Delhi / Mumbai

Role Responsibilities

Achieving sales targets for Automated Testing tools within the Our Client’s range of products in client/server environments and others.

Main Activities

· Selling Automated Testing tools at senior levels.
· Selling Windows based Applications Development software at all levels.
· Achieving new sales quotas and maintaining call rates with established customers in an assigned territory, to defend those accounts from competitors' activities.
· Responsible for prospect development and customer satisfaction in the assigned territory.
· Providing territory management activities such as: sales call reports, normal territory analysis, updating the sales and marketing database, timely forecast and expense reporting and territory insight.
· Identifying sales prospects.
· Arranging and conducting product demonstrations and presentations.
· Negotiating price and volume discounts within well-defined schedules and guidelines.
· Monitoring and reporting competitors' sales activities in the territory.

Skills

· A sound knowledge of client/server environments.
· Sound Understanding of solutions selling.
· Technical aptitude with knowledge of GUI development and Web applications.
· Exposure to VB, C++, Delphi, and Object Orientated principles.
· Exposure to e-commerce - Java, COM, DCOM, ActiveX, HTLM or XML.
· Exposure to relational databases, i.e. Oracle, Sybase
· Strong persuasive skills.
· Extensive product knowledge.
· Good Planning and administration skills.
· Ability to negotiate complex sales at all levels.
· Exposure to Applications Development specifically related to testing.
· Effective time management with the ability to prioritise.

Experience

· 6+ years experience in IT sales or software and peripherals sales (min. 12 months)
· Would understand applications development from a testing and quality assurance perspective, in client/server environments.
· Experience in selling products related to application development
· Good contacts in local territory with IT Managers, AD Managers, CIOs and other IT management.
· Experienced in closing deals of $50k and above.
· May have tertiary qualifications.

Main Activities

· Achieving minimum annual assigned sales quota.

Technical / Solution Consultant Application Delivery

Responsibilities:
1. Delivering Pre-Sales Consulting Engagements. The Consultant will drive pre-sales consulting engagements to successful completion. The engagements typically consist of requirements analysis, solution design, concept implementation, trainings, knowledge transfer, and customer mentoring/consulting. This will involve using one or more of the company products and methodologies in delivering high quality implementations.
2. Technical Account Management. The Consultant will help manage customer expectations during the concept implementation, address issues if possible, and escalate them if necessary.
3. The consultant will be responsible for identifying potential high value added professional services to their clients covering some focused consulting on a part of or complete picture of company's BTO (Business Technology Optimization).


Desired Profile

Requirements:
1. 5+ years experience in quality assurance consulting.
2. Must have an understanding of C/Java and scripting programming fundamentals -- variables, conditional execution, data structures, pointer manipulation, compilation, debugging, etc.
3. Basic Database experience. Must have a basic understanding of relational databases and their use in information systems. Understand SQL and its syntax while retrieving, updating, and inserting information into the databases.
4. Understanding the 'client/server' and 'web' architecture/paradigm. Must understand 2, 3 and n tier systems from an architectural perspective.
5. Strong trouble shooting skills - both from a technical and project success standpoint
6. Soft Skills: Strong oral presentation and written communications skills, clear client listening and analysis skills, outstanding time management skills, skilled in consulting and establishing credibility / trust with customers, ability to handle multiple priorities, able to adapt to change, analytical problem-solving skills, and ability to handle customers effectively.
7. Must be able to understand customer's needs, address those needs, handle problems as they arise, and escalate issues as required.
8. 75% Travel availability. Must be able to perform significant travel.

1. ERP/CRM application experience (Oracle, Peoplesoft, Siebel or SAP)
2. J2EE or .NET experience
3. System/Network administration experience. Exposure to system and network administration issues on Windows and/or UNIX a plus.
4. Project, task, or process management experience.
5. QA experience. Understanding the development and testing process is a plus.
6. Customer-driven consulting experience. Must have experience with customers - consulting, pre-sales support, post-sales support, training, etc.
7. Experience in QTP/ Winrunner, Test Director, Loadrunner is mandatory.

Education/Experience:

Responsibilities:
Delivery of instructor led technical trainings on company's solutions.

Desired Profile
Requirements:
7-10 years experience in IT and/or in consulting
Prior knowledge and experience with QuickTest Professional, WinRunner, TestDirector, LoadRunner and Topaz.
