MARKETING SPECIALIST

Role Responsibilities

Developing and controlling marketing strategy to achieve market share and profitability goals for Company.

Main Activities

· Formulating national marketing policies from market intelligence and research projections.
· Implementing and monitoring the progress of marketing plans and advertising campaigns on a national basis.
· Preparing and updating national marketing budgets, reporting regularly on performance against target, providing variance analyses and revised projections.
· Coordinating market research and market intelligence data.
· Liaising with other divisions/departments.
· Manage the (outsourced) PR function
· Manage the sponsorship policy, implementation and budget.
· Working with product managers to develop and implement events/campaigns that are aligned to the wider business goals of the organisation.
· Managing and coordinating the complete annual activity schedule
· Managing the overall event and campaign budget - ensuring all event activities are within budget.
· Conducting post-event analysis in order to evaluate the effectiveness of events/campaigns.
· Working to leverage events across other areas of the business as appropriate.
· Maximising opportunities for joint vendor marketing - leveraging all opportunities for joint marketing and maximising the use of available vendor marketing funds.



Skills

· Professional marketing skills in combination with a detailed knowledge of technological developments and trends.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret and maximise the use of sophisticated market research data. Expresses ideas to a variety of audiences in a clear and concise manner, both oral and written. Provides relevant, timely and accurate information. Listens actively and respects others' ideas and opinions.
· Decision Making - Chooses the appropriate course of action in a timely manner relative to the desired outcomes.
· Exceptional planning and organisations skills - sets priorities; plans and coordinates work activities to accomplish a specific goal; obtains and manages resources so that work objectives are accomplished on time and within budget.

Experience

· Typically degree qualified with a marketing qualification and at least three years of well rounded marketing and product management experience.
